Fellowship
It has been a wonderful blessing for me to be involved with working with Japanese ladies who are here in our area with their husbands who work at local Japanese businesses. I am so thankful for their friendship. It has also been great that friends from church have been involved in this as well and have contributed so much time and care to making friends and sharing their lives.
So far we have been able to do some American style cooking: a turkey and pumpkin pie as well as make some crafts. At our last meeting, we had an English lesson on how to eat at a restaurant-something we Americans take for granted but that folks whose native language is not English find difficult.
We are hoping to do scrapbooking next month so I will report on that later.
How exciting it is that you are able to have this opportunity in the midst of your time here in the US. I am sure it is filling a need that would otherwise be unmet. Keep up the good work!
